Zahara Jolie-Pitt appears to be continuing a quiet but noticeable shift away from her father\u2019s last name, just like most of her siblings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the weekend, the 21-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Bitt graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. But it wasn\u2019t just the diploma moment that caught attention.<\/p>\n

As she walked across the stage, Zahara was introduced as \u201cZahara Marley Jolie\u201d \u2013 leaving \u201cPitt\u201d out of her name, and it\u2019s not the first time she\u2019s decided to do so. In 2023, Zahara introduced herself as \u201cZahara Marley Jolie\u201d during her induction into the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.<\/p>\n

But she isn\u2019t the only one of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie\u2019s children to distance themselves from the \u201cPitt\u201d name. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt \u2013 who split up in 2016 \u2013 share six children together: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.<\/p>\n

According to a 2021 report from Us Weekly, Maddox \u2013 the former couple\u2019s oldest son also \u201cdoesn\u2019t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren\u2019t legal and instead uses Jolie,\u201d as per Page Six.<\/p>\n

An insider also reportedly claimed that \u201cMaddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn\u2019t support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other siblings have seemingly followed a similar path in recent years. In 2024, their daughter Vivienne was listed as \u201cVivienne Jolie\u201d in the Playbill for the Broadway production of The Outsiders, and Shiloh reportedly made the change official after turning 18.<\/p>\n

According to Entertainment Tonight, the teenager \u201chired her own lawyer and paid for it herself\u201d when removing \u201cPitt\u201d from her last name in 2024.<\/p>\n

Since the breakup, all six children have reportedly become estranged from Pitt to varying degrees. Still, Page Six reported in 2024 that the actor hopes to eventually \u201cforge\u201d stronger relationships with his children as they \u201cget older and have a life of their own.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly later reported that Pitt\u2019s relationship with the children remains \u201cstrained\u201d despite his \u201cseveral efforts to reconnect.\u201d<\/p>\n
